Forsyth County deputies report trees continue to fall throughout the county, making roadways extremely dangerous. Icy roads continue to be a concern. Citizens are urged to “stay home other than emergency situations.”
Power and road crews continue to work to clear every roadways.
Many residents and businesses are still without power. “At the height of the storm, we had over 35,000 out,” said a spokesperson for Sawnee EMC. As of 7:30am, they report, “We have a little over 28,000 out and will continue to work until everyone is back on.”
The winter storm warning remains in effect for north Georgia until 12 p.m. Tuesday
