The University of North Georgia (UNG) will soon be returning to Cumming City Hall.
City Council members unanimously approved a new lease agreement with UNG, to allow the school to hold its Master of Business Administration, or MBA, courses on the fourth floor of City Hall.
“We are thrilled to have the University of North Georgia’s Cottrell MBA program back in this building,” said Mayor H. Ford Gravitt. “While there has been a lot of interest in the space from local law firms, we believe UNG’s growing presence in the city offers tremendous economic development growth potential for the City of Cumming and Forsyth County.”
According to a spokesperson for the City, “Space will also be provided for offices and classrooms for the Office of Continuing Education and Professional Education.”
Before completing its Cumming Campus on Aquatic Circle, UNG held MBA classes at City Hall from 2008 to 2012.
Due to extremely high numbers of students utilizing the Cumming Campus, it has become necessary to again offer courses at City Hall.
