The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners has placed on the November 4 General Election/Special Election ballot a bond referendum to fund transportation projects. The proposed Transportation Bond would be an up to $200 million general obligation bond to finance a variety of transportation projects.
Of the up to $200 million, $81 million is proposed for projects in partnership with the Georgia Department of Transportation, leveraging state and federal funds, with the remaining $119 million proposed for county projects.
For a home valued at $250,000 the estimated impact on a tax bill is, on average, $121 per year for 20 years.
