Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit is seeking submissions of original essays about “Life in Forsyth County Today (2015)”.
The top two winning essays from 6th-8th grades and 9th-12th grades will be included in the new courthouse time capsule which will be placed in the building’s cornerstone. Winners and their parents and teachers will be invited guests at the March 12 New Courthouse Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
Prizes: High School (9th-12th) First Place $100 / Second Place $75
Middle School (6th-8th) First Place $75 / Second Place $50

Essay Submission Specifications:
- Each submission must include a cover letter with your name, address, school, teacher, grade, phone number, and email address.
- Must be your original work.
- Limited to 1,000 typed words using font size 12.
- Must incorporate the entrant’s concepts of what life is like in Forsyth County.
Process: The contest is open to all 6th through 12th grade students in Forsyth County schools and to any resident who is a student in a 6th-12th grade private or home school program. Only one entry per student. Entries will be judged by a panel which will include judges of the Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit, elected officials, journalists, and president of the Forsyth County Bar Association.
