Based on the weather forecast for Monday, Forsyth County Schools has decided to CLOSE schools for school-based staff. Students do not have school on Monday because it was originally scheduled for a student holiday for staff professional development. Central Office staff and school-based 240 day staff should report if conditions permit safe travel.
“We will evaluate the weather on Monday and determine then if practices for school activities and athletics will be held in the afternoon or evening within the county,” said Jennifer Caracciolo, Forsyth County Schools spokesperson.
“We will continue to monitor the weather for Tuesday, Feb. 17, and will try to make a decision concerning school by Monday evening if possible to allow families appropriate time to plan.”
