Keep Forsyth County Beautiful invites residents to make a positive impact on the environment by recycling their old, unused electronics during the upcoming electronics recycling event. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cumming Fairgrounds’ parking lot 3 off of Castleberry Road.
Accepted items for recycling include laptops, stereos, CD players, cell phones, microwaves, cameras and more. The minimum donation per carload drop-off is $5 while an additional $20 fee will apply for each television.
“We are looking forward to another great turnout for our electronics recycling event,” Environmental Program Manager Tammy Wright said. “When residents recycle their unused electronics, they can make a positive impact on the environment while removing clutter from their homes.”
Some items, such as large wooden console televisions, projector televisions, toaster ovens and refrigerators, will not be accepted during the event. For a complete list of acceptable and non-acceptable items, visit www.keepforsythcountybeautiful.org and click on the recycling/disposal tab or call KFCB at 770.205.4573.
