T-Splost Fails, Boff, Duncan, Murphy and Tam Win

Vote 2012Forsyth County Election Results as of 10:30 Pm July 31, 2012.

It was a night of some extremely close local elections, but voters overwhelmingly came out against the T-Splost in the Georgia Mountain District. With 9 of 13 counties counted, the vote stands at 75.2 no to 24.78 yes.

Forsyth County’s Republican primary races have two very close elections. In the race for the State Senate District 27, Jack Murphy narrowly defeated Steve Voshall 50.22% to 49.78%. The State Representative, District 26 race was equally close as Geoff L. Duncan defeated Tom Knox 50.31% to 49.69%.

Incumbents in districts 2 and 5 win decisively.

In the Republican Primary Race for Forsyth County Commissioner district 2, the incumbent Brian Tam won 57.73% of the vote, defeating challengers Dennis Brown (36.97%) and Scott Padis (5.3%).

In the Republican Primary Race for Forsyth County Commissioner district 5, the incumbent Jim Boff won 61.46% of the vote, defeating   John Deruki (38.54%).

District 4 will have a runoff election between incumbent Patrick Bell who received 26.71% of the vote and Cindy Jones Mills who took 44.16% of the vote.

The Race for Forsyth County Sheriff will also go to a runoff between the incumbent Ted Paxton and challenger Duane Piper.

The Forsyth County Coroner will be decided by a runoff between Harold Bennett and Mary Beth Pais.

    It’s a shame this primary went this way. Incumbent? Boff wins, Duncan beats the only man who faught against corruption here in Forsyth when elected years ago, Murphy a senator involved with a banking scam for almost $ 277,000,000.00, Tam involved with the City including many conflicts and secret meetings discussing millions of tax payer monies.

    I see Obama winning fur sure. Georgias lucky # is 2013. Forsyth is a mirror image for the destruction of this country. The republicans vote in identifable corruption here and are blind to the truth.
