Sawnee Ballet Theatre’s 23rd annual production of The Nutcracker will held at South Forsyth High School auditorium with performances Thursday, Dec. 18 through Sunday, Dec. 21.
Founded in 1991 by Artistic Director Joan Kall Stewart, Sawnee Ballet Theatre provides young dancers the opportunity to perform and develop their artistic talents in a professional-level environment. Sawnee Ballet Theatre, a non-profit company, has presented classical ballets such as Swan Lake, Les Sylphides and Sleeping Beauty featuring nationally and internationally renowned artists James Boyd, Anna Finch, Andre Ustinov, Elena Martinson, and Yaroslav Fadeyev. Annual performances of The Nutcracker and the Spring Concert make it possible for school children and the community to enjoy full-length ballet performances in Forsyth County.
