Public Hearing Regarding Proposed Amendment to the Forsyth County Sign Ordinance

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing in order to consider an amendment to the Forsyth County Sign Ordinance at the board’s meeting on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 at 5 p.m.

The purpose of the public hearing shall be for public review and comment concerning a proposed modification to the Forsyth County Sign Ordinance to require nonconforming signs adjacent to Georgia 400 that exceed 75 feet in height to be reduced to 50 feet in height if a Vegetative Maintenance Permit is issued for the sign by the state of Georgia; to repeal conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes.

The public hearing will be held in the Forsyth County Administration Building (Suite 220), located at 110 E. Main Street in Cumming. All Forsyth County residents and any other affected and/or interested persons are invited and encouraged to attend.

Previous public hearings on this matter were held Dec. 4, 2014 and Jan. 8, 2015.
