PI DayPi Day is 3.14.15. What better way to begin the day than with a 3.14 mile run/walk! The Pi Day Race will take place on Saturday, March 14 at Totally Running in Cumming. Join teachers, students and families at this race that provides the perfect opportunity to build excitement around mathematics and science.

Pi Day, 3.14.15, is a fun celebration used by educators to draw attention to the important mathematical number pi. Pi, a transcendental number, is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to the diameter. Schools, universities, businesses, and families to come out to run/walk together to support and foster excitement about mathematics and science education.

Pi Day Race has an innovative twist! While many 5K runs are 3.1 miles, the Pi Day 5-K will be a 3.14 mile run/walk. The race course starts and finishes at Totally Running, 405 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming GA 30041 on a USTAF-Certified course.

Runners and walkers can register online at active.com or onsite at  Totally Running . There will be early packet pick up on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 11am to 7pm at Totally Running. Participants can also pick up their packet on race morning.

Fresh Baked pie from Crave Pie Studio will be presented to Top 3 Overall Male/Female, Top 3 Overall Masters Male/Female, and Top 3 Male/Female in age groups beginning with 9+Under through 65+.
