Commissioner Patrick Bell and Cindy Mills are in a run-off primary election for the Forsyth County Commission District 4 seat, which will be held August 21st. Mills enters the run-off in the lead given the results of the July 31st primary election in which Patrick Bell received 26.69% of the vote compared to Cindy Mills who had 44.13%.
Both candidates had already participated in debates during the primary, including those hosted by the Forsyth County Republican Party and two local Tea Party groups. During those debates, other commissioner candidates shared the stage. So far there has not been a head to head debate between Bell and Mills.
Commissioner Bell challenged Cindy Mills to a debate that he scheduled for August 15. Although Mills stated that she would not participate in any more debates, Bell persisted with his scheduled event. Instead of a debate, Commissioner Bell made a brief speech, followed by a 50 minute question and answered session. A total of 18 people attended the event.

I’m surprised 18 people showed.

Bill, the event was actually quite interesting. The exchange between Commissioner Bell and Mr. Bagwell was worth listening to. I have it on the video.

Brad,
I find it difficult to believe that anything Bell has to say would be interesting, but I’ll take your word for it.
