Ready, Set, Go! Johns Creek Elementary School has started this school year fast and strong promoting and encouraging a healthy lifestyle. The school and PTA kicked off their “Healthy Fall Fundraiser” with an all day Fun Run. The students were scheduled throughout the day by grade to participate in the run and they danced, hopped, skipped and ran to the music. Everyone had a great time as the students enjoyed moving to the latest music while the parents, grandparents, faculty, staff and other supporting adults cheered them on. The kids had an exciting time learning that exercise is important for your health, but best of all, it can also be fun!
JCE continued the healthy momentum with successfully launching for the first time, a Farm Box fundraiser of fresh fruits and vegetables. Through a partnership with Nature Crisp Farm, the children were able to promote and sell to their family, friends and neighbors locally grown produce from a farm in Soperton, Georgia. Johns Creek Elementary had more than 60% participation in the fundraiser and the funds raised will further support academic enrichment and programs for all students at JCE.
