It appears a run-off on July 14 will include State House District 24 candidates Sherri Gilligan and David Van Sant. Gilligan, who carried about 49.9 percent of the votes, fell short of the 50 percent plus one vote needed.
“We have come a long way, but we are not done. I appreciate your vote and support- 3 votes and we would have saved the county the cost of another election,” said Gilligan in a Facebook post.
Van Sant remarked, “We made it into the runoff with Sheri Gilligan. We look forward to a spirited campaign as we enter the runoff.”
Also in the race was Ethan Underwood and Will Kremer.
