On March 26 the Georgia General Assembly passed a resolution to honor Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and a Forsyth County Communications Officer for their actions on June 6, 2014 at the Courthouse shooting.
During the shooting, deputies engaged Dennis Marx, who attacked the Courthouse armed with multiple firearms and explosives, ultimately killing him.
The resolution was brought before the Assembly by Representative Kevin Tanner and State Senator Michael Williams.
