The GATA Sports Training Forsyth County Player of the Week is Joey Musulman from North Forsyth High School. Musulman is a Senior and had 17 tackles in this game from the middle linebacker position and scored 2 touchdowns in the final 2 minutes to put the Raiders on top for a 35-27 victory.
The North Forsyth Raiders trailed the Dawson County Tigers 28-14 headed into the fourth quarter. The Raiders then recovered an onside kick and five plays later Joe Musulman scored on a 1-yard run to tie game with 2:10 left.
North Forsyth kicked off deep on the ensuing kickoff but Dawson County, which was set up for an onside kick could not retrieve the ball until it was at the 6-yard line. The Tigers then fumbled on the first play.
The Raiders recovered and Joey Musulman scored on a 6-yard run with 40 seconds left to give them the lead.
Dawson County would fumble the ensuing kickoff, North Forsyth would recover and then run out the clock.
A GATA Sports Training Forsyth County Player of the Week plaque will be given to Joey Musulman from Ryan Goldin and his name will be added to a 2012 High School Football Plaque in the lobby of GATA Sports Training Facility.
