The GATA Elite Sports Training Forsyth County Player of the Week is offensive lineman Michael Scullin from South Forsyth High School. Michael is a Senior, 6’2″ 275 lbs, plays right tackle and wears jersey #75. In last Friday’s 45-16 win over Cambridge High School, Michael graded out at 90%, had 10 pancakes, and had knockdown blocks in 40 plays.
Michael is an AP Honor Roll student. Michael is currently being recruited for college football and has had interest from Virginia Tech, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Duke.
Rarely does an offensive lineman get recommended as Player of the Week but Scullin’s achievements on the football field Friday night earned him accolades from his South Forsyth coaching staff. South Forsyth is undefeated at 3-0 and plays rival Lambert on Friday night.
The GATA Sports Training Forsyth County Player of the Week plaque will be given to Michael Scullin from Ryan Goldin and his name will be added to a 2012 High School Football Plaque in the lobby of GATA Sports Training Facility.
