Announcing First Redeemer Sports “Run for Hope” Twilight 5k & 1 Mile Run/Walk, Nov. 10th, 2012, 4:00 pm Benefiting Whispering Hope
“Dedicated to informing, educating and providing an outstretched hand to women facing an untimely pregnancy.”
Cumming, GA – First Redeemer Church is making plans for its 6th annual Twilight 5K & 1 Mile run benefiting Whispering Hope Women’s Resource and Pregnancy Center. In past years, as many as 250 people participated annually in the 5K run, 1 mile fun run and the tot trot.
Course Description: Mainly flat, some rolling hills, tree lined, quiet and well-marked with markers for each mile. USATF Certified Course, Peachtree Qualifier.
Awards: 5K Overall male and female, plus awards for top three places in the 15 standard age groups; 1 Mile & Tot Trot — Ribbons to all finishers and award for top two places.
Location/Directions: First Redeemer Church, 2100 Peachtree Parkway, Cumming, GA, 30041. Exit GA 400 on exit 13 and go east on Peachtree Parkway (Hwy 141) for 3.5 miles, church sign and entrance is on right.
Entry Fee: 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Run/Walk – $25 before Nov 3rd, $30 after (shirt included); Tot Trot (Ages 5 & Under) – Free (no t-shirt)
T-shirts: Technical Shirts are guaranteed to all 5k & 1 mile paid participants registered by Oct 8th. Also available first come/first serve to race day registrants.
Starting Times: 5k Run/Walk – 4:00 PM 1 Mile Run/Walk – 5:00 PM • Tot Trot – 5:15 • Awards – 5:30
Number Pick Up: Day of event 3:00 PM at the registration desk

We have several levels of corporate sponsorship packages available as well as individual opportunities to help a runner or walker raise money for Whispering Hope. Whispering Hope provides free pregnancy tests and ultrasounds; education, mentoring and counseling; as well as countless material resources for mothers and their babies.
