2014 Cumming Country Fair Open Through Oct. 12

The 2014 Cumming Country Fair and Festival opens today and runs through October 12 offering something for everyone in the family – midway carnival rides, daily ground acts, petting zoo, Heritage Village with working exhibits, grand concert lineup, Indian Village and much more.fair

The fair is an affordable family outing providing entertainment around every corner. There are free daily attractions, discount days, and free concerts.

Living history exhibits in the Heritage Village demonstrate authentic farm machinery, such as a cotton gin, corn mill, syrup mill, chicken house, grist mill, blacksmith shop, sawmill, moonshine still and a cider press.

The Indian Village represents the rich Cherokee heritage in Forsyth County. The village is home to one of Chief James Vann’s taverns, which originally was near the Etowah River.
